Our piano teacher Melina offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 3 and above, from beginner to advanced. She has a Master of Music degree from the Royal Academy of Music and a great deal of experience both teaching and performing on piano. She has been teaching piano lessons since 2011 privately and in schools. In her extensive performance career, this piano teacher has performed as a solo pianist on the BBC Radio 3 programme ‘InTune’, in many churches, for concerts, and in prestigious events and venues including a performance in Buckingham Palace, in the presence of Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales. She has also performed with chamber ensembles, duos, trios, and accompanied other instrumentalists and exam students. This piano teacher has won many piano competitions and awards including 3rd Prize at the ‘Alkan-Zimmerman’ International Piano Competition, winner of the Iris Dyer Piano Prize, finalist at the International Liszt Competition in Weimar, Germany, and winner of the Jaques Samuel Intercollegiate Piano Competition. She has also taken masterclasses with worldwide renowned teachers including Dmitri Alexeev, Andras Schiff, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Pascal Devoyon, Steven Osborne, Yevgeny Subdin, Paul Badura-Skoda, Kathryn Stott, Peter Nagy, Mikhail Petukhov, Julian Martin, Yong Hi Moon, and Dominique Weber. This piano teacher is very passionate about both teaching and performing on piano and has achieved outstanding results in both. With her extensive experience and educational training, she has a strong understanding of the different needs of each individual student and works to engage all of her students with a fun and creative approach in order to achieve the most out of each lesson.
