Our piano teacher Vanessa offers classical piano lessons for ages 5 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Vanessa has been teaching piano lessons since 2016. She is a lifelong performer who received her Piano Performance Diploma from the Royal Academy of Music. She has competed as a solo pianist in various festivals. She also co-founded Rosea, a flute-violin-piano trio. The group is based in Vancouver, Canada, and is very committed to community outreach. As part of their COVID initiative, Rosea recorded online concerts and sent them to various retirement homes, with the hopes of lifting spirits during the time of isolation. Vanessa has also worked extensively as a piano accompanist, mostly for cello, but also with brass, woodwind, and voice artists. She holds a minor in psychology, and is a trained behavioral interventionist with significant experience teaching children with Autism and ADHD. She is also professionally trained in music therapy, which has equipped her to be a better mentor for diverse learners. Vanessa personally tailors piano lessons to fit each student’s learning style and aspirations, while maintaining the fun of music making and piano performance.
