Our piano teacher Chris offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 7 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Arts with a minor in music and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. He has been teaching piano lessons since 1998. Throughout his career, Chris has performed solo piano in both concert settings and in restaurants, bars, clubs, weddings, and private events. He has performed his own original compositions in a contemporary jazz band appearing in clubs, theaters, and festivals around the New York area, as well as on television and on a commercially-released and critically-praised album. The band was also the recipient of Best Jazz Band at the Long Island Music Awards. Since then, this piano teacher has played with various jazz ensembles, including duets, trios, quartets, and big bands. Chris has also performed as a sought-after vocal accompanist in both theatrical and concert settings, as well as children’s productions. In addition to playing in pit bands and orchestras for numerous productions, he has served as musical director for church, theater, and solo vocalists. He is currently the musical director for a local church. All told, this piano teacher's multifaceted experiences as a working musician and creative spirit have provided him with the ability to pass along valuable and practical knowledge as an educator, which his students can utilize in pursuit of their musical goals.
