Chenyi: Online Piano Teacher
Our online/Skype piano teacher Chenyi offers classical piano lessons for ages 7 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Doctor of Education degree in Music and a Master’s in Piano Performance, as well as a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Chenyi has been teaching piano lessons since 2005. During her career, she has notably performed as a soloist in Seully Hall in Boston, Steinway Hall in New York City, National Concert Hall in Taipei, and Heliconian Hall in Toronto. She has been actively collaborating with acclaimed violinists, flutists, and vocalists from France, Japan, and Taiwan for chamber music concerts. This piano teacher has performed with Japanese Soprano Kuniko Omoto for her vocal recital in Osaka and violin professor Gee Lee for his violin recital in Taipei. A graduate of the doctoral program at Columbia University’s Teachers College in New York City, Chenyi’s dissertation was “The Effect of Touch on Tone Production on a Grand Piano” which relates to performance practice and historical studies on piano playing. Chenyi is experienced in teaching Royal Conservatory of Music practical exams for all levels, including ARCT. For individual who wishes to pursue other goals in piano playing, she can integrate various methods and approaches to custom-make a suitable curriculum that befits the student's need.
