Robert: Online Piano Teacher

Our online piano teacher Robert offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 6 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience teaching, performing, and composing on piano. Robert has been teaching piano lessons since 1997. Robert was one of the youngest people ever, at age 16, to receive a four-year tuition scholarship to the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston. He also holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Toronto, where he was honored with the Music Education Innovator of the Year award upon graduation. Robert’s music career has included diverse work and experiences, including creating music for film and television, and working with electronic keyboards and digital music. He has performed and recorded extensively both as a soloist and as accompanist for many high-profile artists, such as Michael Bublé, Jeff Healey, Tom Wilson, Colin James, and Jane Barkin. Robert wrote the Michael Bublé hit single, "Hollywood." The song was recorded and released worldwide, reaching #1 in both Canada and the U.K. He also toured as Michael's accompanist from 2006-2009. Robert's solo piano album, Pianoptic, was honored with a Best of 2008 award from CBC Radio. He has been recognized by the Ontario Arts Council, nominated for Juno Awards, and was nominated for the prestigious Louis Applebaum award, given out once every three years, for Excellence in Jazz Composition. Most recently, his soundtrack for the Canadian short film "Wild Music" has garnered 26 Best Original Soundtrack awards from worldwide film festivals including in Tokyo, Dubai, and Venice. Robert's 25 years of experience teaching both privately and in the classroom, his passion for the piano, enthusiasm for all styles of music, and capabilities as a mentor for all ages and abilities make him an incredible piano teacher for his students.
