Susan: Online Piano Teacher
Our online piano teacher Susan offers classical and jazz piano lessons for ages 6 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Piano Performance degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Susan has been teaching piano lessons since 1980. She has performed on piano for a variety of different types of concerts, including opera and classical vocal recitals, jazz gigs in clubs and festivals, and with string ensembles. As a professional keyboardist for musical theatre, Susan has performed many of the great musicals of the last century. She is also an experienced music director, and has directed for Stage West Calgary, Cowtown Opera, and in Mexico for the San Miguel Playhouse. As a piano teacher, Susan has taught in many settings, from high schools to music schools to private lessons. She believes that learning an instrument should be all about discovery and creativity. Susan knows that there is great joy in studying piano and music, and her philosophy is that everyone has the ability to express themselves through that medium.
