Karsten: Online/Skype Piano Teacher
Our online/Skype piano teacher Karsten offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 5 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Karsten has been teaching piano lessons since 2007. In her career, she has performed in concert halls in numerous solo piano recitals, and regularly as a solo pianist in hotel bars and for private events. Playing in ensembles, Karsten performs around Central Coast Australia for weddings, private events, and concerts. She also plays with church bands. She is a sought-after piano accompanist for instrumentalists and vocalists in performance, as well as for students taking exams. This piano teacher has composed more than 100 songs for her own students. She has performed on Christian TV Channel and has received numerous prizes in piano competitions and festivals in Hong Kong. Her teaching philosophy is infused with a desire to empower, encourage, and enlighten both her students and the immediate community to achieve positive, wholesome results. Her teaching is strongly based in whole body learning, which combines both the Orff Schulwerk and Kodály teaching approach. This piano teacher incorporates play, improvisation, and creativity into every lesson for students interested in this approach.
