Leah: Online Piano Teacher
Our online piano teacher, Leah, offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 7 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree and has extensive experience performing, collaborating, and teaching. Leah has been teaching piano lessons since 2018. Leah is a talented musician studying at the University of British Colombia. She is not only a skilled pianist, but has also studied a number of other instruments, as well as music composition. She has performed on piano in a variety of settings, such as the New Lights Contemporary Music Festival at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Leah enjoys performing works of student composers, as well as performing with other instrumentalists. Leah’s interpretations of new works are thought to be insightful, musical, and committed. As a music educator, Leah has taught piano in music conservatories as well as privately. Her combined piano and musicianship lessons foster holistic musical development in each student, and she takes extra time to make sure students learn thoroughly from the ground up. In addition to piano performance, she emphasizes sight singing, harmony, and rhythm. She can also teach composition. This piano teacher’s initial goal for each student is adept navigation of the musical language, creating room for more complex musical and pianistic development over time. Leah looks forward to working with her future students.
