Megan: Online/Skype Piano Teacher
Our online/Skype piano teacher, Megan, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 4 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience in both teaching and performing on piano. Megan has been teaching piano lessons since 2005. This piano teacher has extensive experience as a professional accompanist and performer. She is a member of Canada's only all-female reggae band, which was recently featured for Afrofest's Black History Month Online Event. She has recorded credits on two albums with the Canadian band Pork Belly Futures and also recorded a single with Turkey-based EDM artist DJ Tarkan, creating an international pop song that has been making waves online. Megan continues to work as an active recording artist and pianist/accompanist with various bands and artists spanning an eclectic range of genres in the city for shows and festivals. She has also played weddings with bands and as a solo pianist. Over the course of her career, this piano teacher had the opportunity to study with many great jazz piano players, including David Virelles, Nancy Walker, Brian Dickinson, and Bernie Senesky. While Megan enjoys performance, her experience with the outstanding educators in Humber’s music program strengthened her desire to share her love of music through teaching. Megan has been teaching private piano, theory, and ear-training lessons for more than ten years. She enjoys developing both technical and musical skills, while varying her approach to meet the evolving needs of each student. She is passionate about music and teaching and simply wants to share her knowledge and love of music to inspire the next generation of young musicians.
