Michael: Online Piano Teacher
Our online/Skype piano teacher Michael offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 3 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has an Associate degree in Performance and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Michael has been teaching piano lessons since 1988. As a performer, he has received good reviews in the Toronto Star and MusicWorks, as well as in the Globe and Mail, where the reviewer called his performance of his original song cycle "highly entertaining.” He specializes in Contemporary Canadian music, focusing on experimental music and improvisation. He was a founding member of CONTACT contemporary music, Toronto, and served as Co-Artistic Director there for eight years. He has appeared in performance with symphony orchestras, a wind orchestra, and multiple chamber ensembles. He has accompanied violin as something of a specialty for over 30 years, and also enjoys accompanying vocalists. Michael enjoys teaching very much and hopes his inspirational enjoyment of music will have a positive impact on every student he teaches.
