Melissa: Online Piano Teacher
Our online/Skype piano teacher Melissa offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 5 and above, from beginner to intermediate levels. This piano teacher has a Bachelor’s in Piano Performance and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Melissa has been teaching piano lessons since 2012. For her college graduation recital, she performed the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto no. 2 with the Manila Symphony Orchestra and was the second prize winner of the University of the Philippines Piano Concerto Competition, performing Saint-Saëns's Piano Concerto No 2. Upon migrating to the United States in 2015, she has worked as the music director and pianist for church music in Naval Amphibious Base Coronado chapel and Naval Air Station North Island chapel in San Diego, CA. This piano teacher has worked as a keyboardist for numerous Broadway productions in the Philippines ("The Addams Family," "Shrek: The Musical" and "Jekyll and Hyde") and has regularly performed in weddings and corporate events as a soloist or as an accompanist. She has performed as an accompanist for choral performances (Dawani Women's Choir) and violin recitals (Franck Violin Sonata). And of course, teaching and imparting the gift of music to as many people as she can has been as important to her as performing. Seeing her own students grow, develop their love for music, and become their own artists is as fulfilling for Melissa as it is for them.
