Miu Ching: Online Piano Teacher
Our online piano teacher Minnie offers classical piano lessons for ages 4 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Master of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Minnie has been teaching piano lessons since 2022. As a performer, Minnie has been involved in several notable events, including the "Piano Tricks Or Treat" student concert, which was co-organized by Hong Kong Baptist University and Tom Lee Music. She performed at the "Reverie: Fantasia of France" student concert during the French Music Festival in 2023. Also, she took part in a clinical piano workshop that explored the intersection of piano performance and medicine. She has given many successful performances, including her dissertation recital at the AC Hall in Hong Kong Baptist University. During her degree studies, Minnie took courses in a variety of music subjects, helping her to become a diverse musician skilled in performance, ensemble, duet, and accompaniment. She successfully undertook the Advanced Piano Duet examination conducted by ABRSM in the UK, achieving the highest level of marks in the exam. Minnie actively engages in accompaniment work, and has served as the accompanist for the Women's Chorus at Hong Kong Baptist University, been invited to fulfill various orchestral parts during conducting classes, and provides accompaniment for students playing various instruments during their examinations. Minnie has achieved recognition in numerous competitions, including Champion in the Hong Kong International Music and Arts Festival, 1st Runner-Up in the Hong Kong Master Music Piano Competition, Champion in the Elite Performers Piano Competition Open category, and Champion in the Elite Performers Piano Competition Classical Piano category. As a piano teacher, Minnie is skilled at assessing students' strengths and areas for growth, and she adapts her teaching methods accordingly. She breaks down complex techniques into easily understandable steps to facilitate student comprehension. As a result, her students have achieved excellent results in Royal Music Examinations and competitions. Her notable teaching achievements include Outstanding Teacher Award in the 7th Asia E-Aegean International Music Competition Hong Kong and Macau Preliminary, Distinction in the ABRSM Grade 7 Piano Examination, Distinction in the ABRSM Grade 2 Piano Examination, and Distinction in the ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory Examination. Minnie is a dedicated and experienced piano teacher with a proven track record of nurturing talented students and helping them excel in their piano playing.
