Jacob: Online Piano Teacher
Our online piano teacher Jacob, offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 4 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Master of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Jacob has been teaching piano lessons since 2009. Jacob has performed extensively as a solo pianist, including recitals at Merton College Oxford, The Chapel Royal Brighton, and St. Luke's Brighton. He has been awarded many prizes for his performances, including The European Piano Teachers Association Challenge Cup and The Worthing Festival Pianist of the Year. As winner of the the concerto section of the Springboard Music Festival, he was invited to perform a concerto with the Brighton Youth String Ensemble at Birmingham Symphony Hall. He also plays frequently as a duo recitalist with opera singers, including performances at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and London's Wigmore Hall. Jacob has performed as an orchestral pianist with the orchestra of the Welsh National Opera and the Orchestra of the Royal Northern College of Music. He is currently a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio in London where he collaborates with the leading vocal talents of his generation for performances across London and the UK's major opera houses. He has accompanied opera production rehearsals on piano for major conductors, as well as masterclasses with major artists. He is also a talented conductor himself and a music arranger. Jacob has conducted The Oxford University Philharmonia, Oxford University String Ensemble, and Oxford University Chorus. He was director of music at the University Church in Yale and St. Andrew Old Church Hove. Jacob's high level of qualifications and experience allow him to offer informed and inspiring lessons to pianists of all levels who want to expand what is possible for them through music.
