Shirley: Online/Skype Piano Teacher
Our online/Skype piano teacher, Shirley, offers classical piano lessons for ages 5 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Master of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Shirley has been teaching piano lessons since 2001. Since her youth, she has been actively involved in various concerts and performances with Western and Chinese Orchestras as a Pianist, Violinist and on the Er-hu (Chinese Violin) in Malaysia, Australia, and Singapore. She also performed as a piano soloist in various genres. Her familiarity with many Western and Chinese instruments enables her to work well as a piano accompanist for instrumental soloists. As a piano teacher, Shirley works well with students of all ages, learning styles, and abilities, and particularly enjoys working with special needs students. Always seeking new ways to discover and develop the hidden musical talents of her students, Shirley has aided their success in major piano exams and competitions, and many have gone on to launch successful careers contributing to society as music professionals.
